  2. I love toile especially in drapes and in fabric. I guess the most popular is in dishes. Lovely examples.

  11. Susan,

As a fellow lover of toile, I ate up your post. There are so many scenes to choose from and each photo was prettier the next.

By the way, you have quite a list of Georgia bloggers. If you have a get~together you will have to rent out a stadium! :-)

  21. I love toile! When I was growing up, my grandmother had four large windows in her dining room with floor length blue toile drapes. I always told her when she changed them I wanted to make a dress out of them like Scarlett in GWTW or Maria in The Sound of Music. She was horrified and never changed them!!!!! :D Jewel

  37. Hi Susan--

I've dropped by your blog several times today and tried to leave messages but the word verification always came up blank. I wanted to tell you that those blue toile fabrics are lovely and that I could see any of them decorating the sidebars of your blog.

    Have a good week☺

  42. Cool stuff. Looks like the old cyanotype photo prints of the 1800's. You can print those on fabric I know... Hmm...

  43. Good Morning~ ~I covered my diningroom chairs in this exact fabric, except mine is in red, and I just love it. Come on over and have a look.
The fabric is a Waverely print and we have an outlet store nearby so I got a really great deal.
