One of my favorite blooming trees.. Crepe Myrtles. Wow those in the second and third photos are bursting with blooms. My grandparents had a few in their yard but didn't keep it cut back so it grew HUGE.. one of the largest I've ever seen. I prefer them cut back like those you have posted. Thanks for sharing their beauty. As I said earlier.. keeping you all in my prayers..God Bless!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie

xxxxxxx and hugs Coty

ReplyDeleteYour Crape Myrtles are gorgeous! The drought here has caused all of our trees to look very pathetic this year, but one of them is finally starting to bloom.
Thanks for hosting OW with all you have going on you should have taken the time off!
Wonderful pictures. A delight to our eyes.
ReplyDeleteAlfazema

ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your MIL. I can say I truly know what she is going though as I did almost the same thing two years ago fracturing mine in 2 places. I pray she does well. It is amazing what they can do with a great surgeon. As of yesterday, mine still hasn't fused. But I am functioning and trying to stay positive.
Your crape myrtles are absolutley gorgeous! Just another treasure of the south!
Hugs and good luck this week!
Beth~♥

Cass
I love this "Outdoor Wed." Thanks for hosting....I can't believe your crape myrtles! Wow...haven't seen them that big before! I like how you've made them into a tree type hedge...very cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's just not good Susan is it? I feel so sorry for your mother in law. So much trauma. I hope that you have recovered from your bout with the flu. The crepe Myrtle pictures are beautiful. I am thinking of you and hoping for the best.
ReplyDeleteXOSue
Your crepe myrtles are beautiful. They remind me of our trips every summer to NC. My mother has tried and tried to get one to grow, but we are just too far north :( It was great seeing all your sunshine too, it just keeps raining off and on here in PA. I guess you have to take the good with the bad :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting and sharing!
Crystal

ReplyDeleteKeeping you and your mother in law in thought and prayer.
Hugs, Barb
I hope your MIL recovers quickly. Let her know we are all thinking of her!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of the crepe myrtle pics. Ours are no where near ready to bloom, which is fine as we have the dreaded Japanese beetles and they feast on the CMs when they bloom. Maybe the beetles will be declining by the time the flowers show up. :)
~~Rhonda
It would have to be impossible to be surrounded by such wonderful blooms and not feel good! Lovely pics.
ReplyDeleteWow, the crepe myrtles are amazing. And they're still blooming this late in the year?
