Keeping it brief this week…  because I have been trying to fight off a virus …….. It may take me a few days to visit all participants this week……

What’s blooming this week in my yard……

My Rose of Sharon are blooming ! I have some trimmed as bushes..and others as trees…but ALL the blooms are beautiful!

  2. Oh man I never knew what that plant was called.. My grandmother had a ton of them planted and I always wanted one. They always made me think of Hawaii.

    I am so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope you recover quickly. I have missed OUtdoor Wednesday and am so happy to be back. Your Rose of Sharon is just gorgeous. I have never seen one but have heard of them, how big do the blossoms get? From your picture they look enormous. You always take the most beautiful pictures. Feel better.

    Thank goodness Mr. Linky worked so you didn't have to do it by hand. I was so nervous doing it for my WHITE party, but it was fine...I missed you, but now I know you are sick...Next time!
    I love Rose of Sharon. I have a hedge of them. Not blooming yet here. I just bought a BLUE one. It will be a few years before it amounts to anything!!

  20. Rose of Sharons are some of my favorite flowers..they almost take care of themselves. I have several along my back fence and 3 in the front. Mine aren't blooming yet but will be in another week or so,I think. Yours are so so pretty.

    I adore our Rose of Sharon bushes and yours are SO beautiful! Your flowers bloom so much earlier than ours...     blooms have always reminded me of a hollyhock.

  44. Hello Susan, I love your Rose of Sharon blooms. I have a huge tree and would you believe I haven't gone outside to see if it is blooming yet, since we arrived home late Mon. night. LOL. Yours is gorgeous and the same color as mine.

    It is great to be home. thank you for your faithful comments and well wishes for safe trip home. Here we are without a hitch in all those weeks. We are blessed.

  47. I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It is harder for me to be sick in the summer when the weather is warm than when it is yucky outside. I think this is only my second outdoor wednesday, so I am very excited!! Thanks, Susan!!

  50. I have Rose of Sharon in my yard as well. They are not blooming yet. I have transplanted them from my old yard and I think it will take a season for them to get acclimated to their new home. I brought 5 seedlings and thankfully only one did not survive the move.

  69. Susan, your rose of Sharon is amazing! We had one in the front yard - and it didn't do so well. I'm not sure if it was too shaded, or didn't have enough shade ... I didn't do much research on what they neeeded, and it was a transplanted specimen that might not have made it through the transition well. Anyway - if they had made it, I hope they would have been as beautiful as yours. Thanks for sharing!
