Susan .. I love it! I've never seen Witchhazel either.. or maybe I have an mistook it for Forsythia. I wish I had a pussy willow growing in my yard.. I get cracked up everytime I see one.. a girlfriend sent me a huge bouqet of them when I had a hysterectomy years ago as a joke.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Debbie
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI loved all of them , but if I had to choose it would be the Lilac as it was simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Sue

wow. I love your blogs! half of those are new to me - I've never seen witchhazel before, or spiraea or flowering quince... lilacs are my favorite ever. They remind me of summers on Cape Cod, my mom would "borrow" them and then place them in a big blue pitcher my aunt had thrown on her pottery wheel and they would smell lovely...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! The lilacs are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteSandra
Tbese are all gorgeous. I love the lilacs, but the witchhazel is really pretty, I don't think I've every seen it before (except in those brown pharmacy bottles lol). Thanks again for hosting this fun event. Kathy
ReplyDeletewell... I've run around and visited all your links - I'll have to put up something tomorrow ... maybe pictures of the golf tournament. I heard the fireworks going off just now, they must have started...

ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for a great party.
Lovely pictures! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t it lovely to see everything in bloom. I feel like it is passing by so quickly. Spring has come in a rush and seems to be departing before my eyes. Maybe it has been the rain that makes it seem so. I’d like it to last just a bit longer. I enjoyed all your delightful spring photos.
ReplyDeleteKate

ReplyDeleteI think your blog should win a blue ribbon this week. Oh such lovely flowers you have posted. It makes my heart sing just to look at the witchhazel, the Bridal-Wreath Spiraea, and the lilacs. Each plant seems to be at their peak performance. By the way, I appreciate all the time and effort you spend on Outdoor Wednesday. Take care of yourself.

Hi Susan...I like your outdoor Wednesday posts...your pictures are so beautiful...love the lilac...I thought I'd give it a try... hoping I did everything right...this is my first time.
ReplyDeleteOops! I just discovered that there is already a "Shirley" on linky...guess I should have made my name different. Can that be edited? If so, how? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful spring blooming shrubs. Sadly for me, the ice storm and other winter weather blighted my rhododendrons. So I'll be missing the lovely blooms I enjoyed last year.
