5/25 – Blue Monday – Happy Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (on May 25 in 2009). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war), it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.

    Susan, I was so touched by your tributes. Sometimes I wish Pat could have lived so that I could share things with him. He would have loved to see the honor paid to his men that fell in battle, both in Korea and the three tours in Viet Nam. Most especially for Viet Nam. I think he died hurt by the lack of support...and if he could have only seen this.
    I also was hurt but time is a great healer. To see and hear the wonderful things said for our Servicemen today is heartwarming.

    hi sweetie.i miss you too.i miss everybody.this "spell"is over and i am feeling TRULY FINE.just like normal.and you probably know my sweet daughter is here to help me or rather us out.my dh has has his hands full.but he has done a fab job.
    i said i was going to pop in every now and then.it was truly just----a----rest---------.but then i got sick.so i have REALLY missed everybody.i cannot wait to get back totally.love ya ...ann
