It’s Pink Saturday, hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. Be sure to visit Beverly's blog to see a complete list of all the participants in today's Pink Saturday. (clicking on picture will open a link to her site in a new window)
Last weekend at the family reunion one of my husband’s cousins brought a plate to share with everyone that was their grandmothers. My husband’s grandmother won this plate at some type of canning event (I didn’t catch all the details)
Even with the chip, I love the details…and a family treasure for the cousin who now owns it!
I recently decided to “collect” dishes and I try to add to the ones I have when I can. Most of the dishes I have are blue/white but I may have to add a few pink. Here are some pretty pink dishes that I like…..aren’t they beautiful?
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog and don't forget to visit Beverly’s blog How Sweet the Sound to see more pink!
Have a great weekend!
A very nice post for Pink Saturday Susan. The dishes are beautiful. How odd that you are starting to add pink to all of your blue and white, and lately I have been focusing on blue after years of adoring pink!! (Maybe not so odd. Maybe just tired of the same old thing!!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!! :-)
xoxo

Susan, I love your blog---you just share the most interesting posts.
ReplyDeleteHappy verrrrrrrry late Pink Sat.. I was so sidetracked for a couple of days getting ready for a brunch I had here yesterday! Anyway, I love old family dishes, too, and that one is perfect--chip and all! I have grown to love the pinkish/red transferware, too. I have two cups and saucers that are from John Brothers Castles of England. I also have grown to love their blue transferware pattern of Libery Blue and I have picked up a few pieces of that when I see them at a good price.
I so enjoyed your Tablescape Tues today, too! LOVE the Blue Willow with the orangey placemats. You are right, we should be using our silver more often.
See you at the next Pink Sat for sure! Dana
That plate in your hubby's family is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree, in starting to collect pink dishes. Looking forward to seeing a tablescape ;)
Thanks for visiting over at my blog. I'm visiting a little late!
