The Warner Robins (Georgia) girls softball team won the region title and a return to World Series. I don’t have a daughter on the team, but wanted to say “Congratulations” anyway!
They beat Florida 10-2 in the championship game of the Little League Softball Southeastern Region Tournament.
Warner Robins now travels to Portland, Ore., with the hopes of becoming the first team since 2004 to successfully defend its Little League World Series title. (The Little League Softball World Series begins August 12).

Those pictures make me miss the days of girls softball in the park in Lawrence Indiana and the waning weeks of summer. The memories and the photographs will last a lifetime for your bunch!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the linky. I've been looking forward to this opportunity since I began blogging a few months ago. I didn't have a way to tie a backyard photograph into my blog theme - but I managed it - finally. Thanks again!

Isn't it nice to support a local team when you don't have a stake in it.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a few big baseball championship teams (kids) that have won a series or gone really far.
Our local news always gives them lots of coverage.
I love the pictures; wonder how they play in such heat! Love their uniforms too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing me to participate this week Susan! I love Outdoor Wednesday! :) Artie
ReplyDeleteWhat memories for these girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan, for hosting Outdoor Wednesday!
Love to watch young people play. Great pictures and congrats are definately in order.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great time at the ballgame...:)
ReplyDeleteI am stunned that you have 40 something comments and over a hundred people playing in this wonderful meme. I wish I knew what to suggest that they ALWAYS be kind enuf to leave a comment to their host.

Congrats to the girls! The Western Regional Little League headquarters are in our town. We like to go up there and watch the games in August every year!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the Warner Robbins girls softball team. Good luck next week!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great that girls get the same opportunities now that the boys have gotten all along. I have two sons but it always bugged me how the little leage always outweighed girls soft ball or girls in little league. now things have changed and all so much better. having a grandaughter now makes me glad this is happening for her sake as well as all the other girls out there.
ReplyDeleteSO ..... the girls are headed out my way! Wishing them good luck and victory!
