Last weekend, competitors from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina hit the waters at Lake Tobesofkee for a sailing challenge. The athletes are members of the Special Olympics. Special Olympics Georgia hosted 45 teams for a Special Regatta. There are different levels of competition, so each athlete was judged according to their responsibility on the sail boats.
The breezes were brief and sailing was difficult but everyone seemed to have a good time anyway.
