Runners in the 5k race wait for the start of the race along Vineville Avenue …..

Off and running….

I am not a runner either but my one daughter ran a 15K recently and my oldest is participating in a Breast Cancer walk the end of this month. She will be walking 20 miles each for three days! Bless her heart!

I have the greatest respect for people that do this. I wish I could, but waited too late.
ReplyDeletei love outdoors! happy OW! :)

ReplyDeleteEarl came for a visit, but he wasn't too destructive! Thank God!

ReplyDeleteI love running! Looks like a great race.
ReplyDeleteA nice steady walk sounds good, running...not so much. Could have something to do with my lazy genes....but it looks like fun!!
ReplyDeleteOk I think I did it right....I'm new at this and hope I did, I wish my name wasn't there and instead it said Blackberries, but I don't know how to change that...sorry I love your party and thank you so much for hosting, it is a big job and know that it is appreciated by me
ReplyDeleteMy hat's off to everyone who runs races - the commitment it takes to prepare is astounding!

I just recently started running and, although I still am not all that enamored of it, I am definitely committed. It has gotten better and it is for a worthwhile cause as it is to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Outdoor Wednesday.

Looks like fun as long as I could just walk it.

Love the sunny scene with all the runners. I've got a sweet shot of Lake Burien for you today:

How fun...for them! Lol! It looks like everyone was enjoying themselves. Running isn't for me, but I did love looking at the great photos. Thanks for sharing and hosting.
ReplyDelete~Holly
Sheesh! I only run if something mean and nasty is chasing me! I couldn't even run the one mile with the kiddies! But I can walk (fast) with the best of 'em! I try to walk 1 1/2 miles every day (up hill) to meet hubby after work. Does a body good!
ReplyDeleteI can't run anymore, but I can sure cover some ground in my speed walking.
ReplyDeleteWeezer
I'm afraid my legs would be really hurting after a run like that, with my bursitis.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone was having fun.
We went to an all day Christian concert on Saturday. Lazed around on Sunday and bought the family a B.B.Q. meal for Monday. The weather was just right.
I'm going to try and run a 5k next summer...thats my goal!

Hi. Thanks again for hosting outdoor wednesdays. Hope you can come visit.
ReplyDelete~ Julie
This run is similar to the marathon I ran 5 years ago during the Singapore Marathon. It is an out of this world experience.
ReplyDeleteFor some strange reason my feet never want to cooperate on a run:-)
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteThose runs always look like so much fun. Except for the running part, of course! That's not my thing. I'm more of a yoga girl. Anyway, I meant to leave you a hello yest. when I linked up and got sidetracked and now it's late Thurs. but, better late than not at all.
Thanks for hosting us every week. Hope you have a fun weekend.
Come by for a visit, it's been awhile since you dropped by!
