--------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday (Monday) it was a beautiful day… 62 degrees and sunny….. felt like maybe Spring was trying to get here….. My Dad and I spent part of the day together running errands and eating lunch…so it was nice that the day was warm!

Today it was raining (with some ice) and the high was 40 …. so I tried to stay inside as much as I could!

My flowering plum tree was trying to bloom…. but I am afraid to see what is left of the pretty blossoms tomorrow……

  1. I'm so jealous! I don't have much of anything budding. No trees anyway. It was cold here today. Very odd weather!

  5. Every year I am amazed at the amount of blooms on the flowering plums and cherries. They are gorgeous...unless you have to park your car under one for a while. What a mess that makes.

  7. Hi Susan,
Beautiful! The trees are all blooming here, too, but the rain is knocking away all the blossoms.I hope yours makes is through the confusion of this time of year. Is it almost spring, or is it still nasty winter?! We lost our favorite tree last week, I posted the sad story today. Hope you'll stop by for a visit.

  8. Such a beautiful tree, and the blossoms are just gorgeous. All of the redbuds are blooming right now, so far it doesn't look like the snow damaged any. Keeping our fingers crossed. Kathy

  11. It rained, I mean it monsooned all day here in SW Florida. This was a good thing for us, as winter is typically very dry and prone to brush fires 'round here.

  18. Hi Susan - the blooms in your plum tree are so beautiful. Reminds me of the trip I made to the Butchart Gardens 4 years ago. It was during spring season, and all their plum trees were flowering and pink all over.
