Wow, that's some flood! I just recently took over management of a blog dedicated to signs, the road, pathways, etc. I think your pictures would make an excellent entry, either as a guest post or just as a participant. I hope you'll consider it - you can visit to see what it's all about here - http://thiswaythursday.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys have dried out and that the roads are passable once more!

ReplyDeleteOh Susan, I hate seeing flooding pictures, being a "flood survivor" myself -- I really ache for the people in and around Atlanta in the face of the recent storms and floods.

ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry you are experiencing all that flooding. I must be terrible for everyone. It's so strange, we need the rain so desperately, and you in the South have way too much of it...isn't that always the way it goes?
Hope you come out of this with no problems. I will be thinking of you.
BTW when I linked up I put your URL in by mistake the first time. If you get a chance just delete the first Heart and Home link. Sorry about that. Guess those flood pictures had me rattled!
Hope you can stop by for a visit and take a look at our dry land.

Susan...looks like scenes we have had here in Texas...
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of flooding we've had in our area, through the years. One year in particular, November 82. That was the year Jim and I met. Our homes weren't affected, but getting to and from work, etc. was. Living near the Mississippi, we've seen this happen so much.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo story, Susan!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!:-)
I love a picture of signs warning of flooding that are almost under water. Wow that is a lot of water.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos! Sorry to learn about your flooding due to excessive rain. Sure wish there was a way to send some of that wet stuph to us here in Southern California where it's way too dry due to lack of rain for much too long.
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, the floods were terrible and I know it sadly affected many lives. I can't believe how bad it was. My prayers go out to those who suffered because of this flooding.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
You guys really had a scare with those torrential rains. I hope not too many people were left homeless or hurting.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Hi Susan! Hasn't it been awful? We needed the rain...but not all at once! I hope you and your family are doing well!...hugs..Debbie
ReplyDeleteWow!! Water can sure make a terrible mess. I hope everything gets back to normal soon, whatever normal is. We have had so much rain this summer and it is still raining today.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine! Here I sit wishing/praying for rain so we can get out of this drought and not have to "ration" our water usage so tightly, and there you are with an over abundance. Grr at Mother Nature. She needs to pass over So Cal and soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and yours are safe and pray for those that may have experienced damage or loss.
I've been MIA and just came back to blogging this week. You take care of yourself and be safe. That's an order! (lol!)
That's a lot of rain, I hope you were not adversely affected. Great pics.

That is a lot of water - hope you are all right. MB
ReplyDeleteOh no...flooding!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of experience with that, unfortunately. I do hope the water stayed out of your basement at least!
I stopped by to see the list and photos. I'm not sure I have the energy to post this week, but I still wanted to check it out...
ReplyDeleteWOW! I think you really see the extent of the flooding when you look at how high the water is on the playground! Good Grief! Take care!
ReplyDeleteThat is awful! Hope it dries up soon. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLori

We're still HOPING for rain in Southern California and you have too much. I'm back, belatedly sharing views from the Skilak Wildlife area of Alaska.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Thanks for allowing me to post something today. I have posted some Australian spring time pictures-they look very different to your flood pictures! I do hope that you have some kinder weather soon. Best wishes, NM.
ReplyDeleteI just love the colors of fall. I am in Moscow, Russia and fall is now over. But the trees here were beautiful. Almost as beautiful as in my USA home state of GA. :-)
