  2. Your hostas are beautiful and full! Around here planting hostas is like sending an invitation to every deer in the county to come and have a feast! For some reason the deer love hostas and will nibble them down to the stem. I'm joining your party today and looking forward to visiting the links! Linda

  11. Your hostas are colorful. I've a shade garden but have never tried to grow these. It may be a bit too hot here in TX. But these images are inspiration to give this plant a try. Thanks for hosting each week. ~ Sarah

  12. You took really good pictures of them showing their colors to perfection. They would look good in a plant catalog.
I have lots of shade too and several hostas but the ones that were here when we moved here 28 years ago have suddenly all started reverting back to a pale green from their usual green and white stripes.

  14. Your hostas are great. I planted two of the same type maybe two feet apart and one of them is twice the size. I guess it gets more water from the sprinkler. Yours look very healthy.

What do you fertilize with and how often? You obviously know the secret.

  30. I love hostas and have several varieties. It always amazes me how much they charge for them at our favorite plant farm. I guess since they are a plant that keeps giving for years and years they are worth it.

My Mom just called me and said that her peonies are perfect for taking photos of. I had to smile as that means she likes the photos of her iris featured in today's post.
