It’s that time of year again….Opening Day for Atlanta Braves baseball….. and my husband and two of the kids were at the game (April 5) …. Atlanta Braves vs Chicago Cubs….sitting out in right field at Turner Field…..
They saw an impressive opening ceremony…..
Travis Tritt sang National Anthem…..
Hank Aaron threw out the first pitch…..
He’s looking pretty good for 76 years old…..
and Bobby Cox had his last opening day as Atlanta Braves manager (sad) …… we will miss him…..
a view of the field…..
Eddie Perez (bullpen coach) and Roger McDowell (pitching coach)……
Brian McCann (catcher)….
The Braves won 16-5 and everyone got a good look at Jason Heyward who hit a 3 run homerun his first major league at bat. Yes, my family was among the crowd chanting “Let’s go Hey-ward” before he even got up to the plate to bat

Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI love baseball, and what a great day at the ballpark. Fun to see Hank Aaron and nice that they won. You are right, he looks fantastic. I can almost smell the grass from here. There's nothing like the smell of grass on the baseball field.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday and thanks for hosting.

I am not a baseball fan. I get impatient with them taking so much time to act. I love football as it moves faster. That is a wonderful way to spend family quality time.
