Rain, Rain, Go Away…Come Again Some Other Day! We have had alot of rain the last few days….so I haven’t been able to get any good pictures for Outdoor Wednesday.

weather

The Flood Warning continues for the Ocmulgee River near Macon until Friday. We had two to four inches of rain on Monday. Flood stage is 18.0 feet….and the river will continue rising to near 20.5 feet early Tuesday morning.(Don’t worry…we don’t live close to the river!!)

You could see the rain coming….

image

Rain even washed away a road!

image

And a few trees down on the golf course…

image

But the rain also brought a beautiful rainbow!

  4. What a weather system it has been. We are about 4 1/2 hours north of Nashville, so most of went south of us. So scary for so many.

  8. Wow, flooding causes some of the worse problems!! The picture of the storm sky is amazing! My daughter is deathly afraid of bad storms for fear of a tornado. I mean some fear is healthy but I think she needs medication! We missed that storm. They cancelled a horse show we were going to but the storm went south.

  9. Oh My Word! Just horrid weather. Wow the map is drenched in red, like the area it represents..drenched in water and stormy skies. Mother Nature is awesome, the way she throws up that beautiful rainbow across such a gray background. All the better to make the colors of the rainbow pop and be noticed. ;) Wow she can really put some scary displays of her power out there. Hope the weather improves for you all in that area, you have been having some awful stuff!

I'm glad you are ok...I'm in Tennessee near Gatlinburg so we just got hours of very hard rain but no flooding. But Nashville is another story...so sad. Mother Nature seems to have quite the attitude lately!

Today is my first Outdoor Wednesday..I'm going to enjoy looking at all the great outdoor stuff.

    Have a wonderful day,
