Spring is trying to get here early this year. The warm weather has caused the flowering plums to bloom. I notice them everywhere now. A touch of pink is a welcome sight!

Daffodils always make me smile because they are usually one of the first signs of Spring. We didn’t really have much of a Winter but that’s okay. Bring on the daffodils!

The South's iconic groundhog, Gen. Beauregard Lee, waddled out of his "Weathering Heights" mansion on February 2 and failed to see his shadow on the Georgia red dirt. No shadow means an early spring. Beau is about 17. The general life expectance of a groundhog in the wild is about six or seven years.
