It is nice to see a little color with all the heat. The crape myrtles are blooming! They don’t seem to mind the summer heat.

  1. Crepe Myrtle are a favorite of mine....they're beautiful, and the next best thing to a lilac [we can't grow lilacs here, this far south]!!!!

  11. Those crape myrtles are so beautiful in your area, it doesn't grow as compact in the dry tropics. Ours is thin, scraggly and almost pathetic.

  15. I am very thankful for the Crape Myrtle and that our Japanese Beetle population seemed to be diminished this year - weather related! They are such lovely flowers and fragrant too! I do appreciate you hosting and hope you have a blessed day,
