I was out running errands this week and decided to take a few pictures of the landscaping around the mall. I like to see what combinations the landscapers use to get ideas for my own yard. You never know where you might get some inspiration!

HERE ARE THIS WEEK’S PARTICIPANTS:
My flowers are actually perking back up with the temps down in the 80's.

I find my Dr's surgery gardens a great place to see what annuals work well locally year round...Plus their buildings and gardens have a great southern cottage feel to them which we are trying to achieve at our place.
ReplyDeletethose are so beautifully landscaped, thanks for hosting.

I remember seeing a landscaper on tv once who said you should always incorporate grasses into your yard for the motion effect. I like the way the mall used the grasses as a backdrop for the colorful flowers. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteSusan fantastic flowers!
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor wednesday!
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI do that too( taking pictures of plants in public places)...usually the plants they use in commercial spaces aren't too fussy and can take a lot of heat near pavement. This year with our drought and high temps I really noticed the plants that survived the best. Will be planting them next year! Thanks for sharing and hosting!
Miss Bloomers
Love all the colors of local mall's landscaping! Sometimes I think fall is prettier than spring... but maybe it is because we are going to miss it all winter and so we appreciate it more now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
I love the grasses along with the flowers. Thanks for hosting Outdoor Wednesday.

It's amazing how much inspiration you can get from any garden or landscaping if you just open your eyes to the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me as though the make quite an effort to make the parking areas of your shopping centres look attractive. I am pleased to be able to join with you all this week and will visit as many other participants as I can.
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday. Looks like the mall's landscapers are doing a wonderful job! I just tried Lantan's in my yard this year for the first time, they are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Susan, I too love to get inspiration from gardens I see where ever I might be. Also from books on landscape and gardening. I am the President of The Franklin Garden Club here where I live. I love to be involved with gardening in my club. Your photos are all inspiring.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
Oh... great idea!! I need help with my own gardens... what a great way to gt ideas on local flowers. You did great with your captures too!!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so lovely! Great shots! Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteLovely, just lovely! Thanks for hosting the party! I'm linking up with a trip to the Farmer's Market!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea! Here in Central Ohio, you can take a cue from landscapers who use SUPER hardy plantings that give season long appeal. Lots of Knock Out Roses, Day Lilies that seem to bloom forever and Salvia are especially popular (zone 5).
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting this lovely meme :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting and my best regards
ReplyDeletefrom Romania!
Beautiful! What a great idea. I've never thought to look at the mall for gardening inspirtation. Although, I have my eyes gawking at anything and everything that has to do with gardening!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a landscaper, but I'd settle for someone to mow the lawn. :o)
ReplyDeleteWow, you still have so many flowers! Awesome... We've been fortunate with a mild Autumn up here. By this time last year we'd had snow. Have a great day!
