I took some pictures a few weeks ago of the dogwoods and azaleas before the storms blew through. I thought I would share them with you this week!

  2. I absolutely love the azaleas. They don't grow as well in our neck of the woods. We have two in the front garden that are beginning to bloom. Even though it as been 7 years since they were planted, they are very small.

  9. Beautiful pics! Thanks for sharing dogwood...one of my favorite spring blooms. I first saw them during my college years in Macon...and I was in LOVE (with dogwood!).

  15. Your pre-storm photos area beautiful. Spring seems to be in full bloom where you are. Your photos after the storm were really sad to see --- we are expecting another big storm here in NC tomorrow night. We just look up at the trees and wonder ...

  17. Your Dogwood and Azaleas are breathtaking. Ours have about bloomed out here and we are suppose to have really bad tornados tomorrow. I hope the blooms are all to get blown away. Stay safe.........

  18. Oh how gorgeous! We were supposed to go to Asheville for the azaleas at Biltmore and had to cancel because of my mother-in-law's death. I see from your pictures how gorgeous it would have been to see them.

  22. Dogwood trees and azaleas are like my favorite Spring blossoms. In the Chicagoland area, they do bloom but the colors just don't have the punch that they have when they blossom in the southern states. I am so sorry to hear about the storms hitting your area. I am glad you are okay. Strong winds are scary for sure. Take care. See you next week, Susan.
