I took these pictures a couple weeks ago. The wisteria grows everywhere and I love it! It is one of the signs that Spring is definitely here!

  14. Thanks for sharing your pictures of the beautiful wisteria. I went to photograph the wisteria around the brick tower today and don't know if I missed it this year or it has not bloomed yet. The picture in my header is from last year. The date on my camera is off, so not sure when I took the pictures last Spring.

  17. It sure does look like Spring there. I love wisteria growing up a big tree. It is such a heavy brute though. Almost pulled my sisters pergola down and it was a big thick one. They had to add more bracing to it.

  18. Wow, they are amazing. I know they can take down a shed for sure. If you grow them you MUST keep them pruned. But so lovely, and most are fragrant, too.

  21. I remember seeing wisteria growing wild like this on the side of the road as we drove from Hilton Head to Atlanta one time. It is truly beautiful.
    My (quite tame) wisteria had started to bloom this week but will never look like the ones in your post.
    BTW I blogged about trees this week too.

  22. there is not a lot of wisteria up here in NH and what we do have doesn't bloom for quite a while. I have always thought it is so pretty down south.

  25. Hello and happy outdoor Wednesday to everyone! There is a lovely old house on my street that has wisteria growing over the porch. I've always envied it! Not in bloom yet, but I'll be on the look out for it again this year.

  45. I had to tell you how glad I am you and your family were not touched by all that bad weather.. I lived in tornado alley Illinois for a time and we went to the basement several times each season.. we had cat3's quite often.. scary to say the least....your photos are amazing.
