We have had some unusual weather lately. A little south of me a severe-thunderstorm swept through dumping large hail. They were under a tornado warning for about 20 minutes, around 3 p.m. on October 25. People in Bonaire and Kathleen reported golf-ball sized hail. There wasn’t any reported damage.
Hail on car windshield….
Compared to a quarter…..

ReplyDeletegee wow..those hails really look intimidating.
ReplyDeleteIncredible shots of the hail!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Sooo... I did it backwards. I guess I was mesmerized by the size of the hail. My daughter spoke to one of her friends in that area who shared that they experienced hail. We got a lot of heavy rain and wind - AND lightening! Seems we may be in for one more night with the frogs!
ReplyDeleteKathy
I guess not all outdoor shots are warm and fun. We had similar weather in Central Ohio today. Have a great week! La
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable!...and scary :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
wow, that hail could really do some damage, sheesh, glad I'm in NC and it was 82 today!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness~~you are really having some Fall weather!!

Stay warm sweet Susan:))

Wow, the hail does look big. It can reallzy do a lot of damage. My old car had little dents all over the hood from hail.
ReplyDeleteWe had heavy rain and light hail, too.
ReplyDeleteNot nearly as large as THIS hail, tho.
Thanks, Susan...
WOW~! Thankgoodness we just got thunderstorms minus the hail. However this evening, tornados are north. Headed to northern GA later I am certain. "Batten down the hatches!"
ReplyDeleteOh my...that's some big hail! We got rain and we were happy, but nothing big...just nice rain!
ReplyDeleteWe had high winds from last night and continuing all day today, tomorrow and who knows about Thursday. I already know I can see through my old barn much more than I could this morning. Not looking closer until flying debris stops.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting - that is some wild weather. Ours has been very mild and dry.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is really large hail. I hope it didn't cause too much damage.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That hail is shaped so odd. I always see it rounded over or oval. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteSherry
I can't believe the size of the hail...We had wind/rain yesterday such a shock to the system!!!
ReplyDeleteScarily large! We just had a round a storms that came up from your way...lots of damaging wind & storms with it expected thru the wee hours tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is some hail! I've never seen it that big.
Thanks for hosting. I've visited this party before but never participated. I'm excited!
Those are big ones. Great captures.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteWe always get so excited when it hails around here! I've got pictures and video, like it's such a big deal. Yet I have NEVER EVER seen anything like the hail you had, oh my it is HUGE! I'd heard of golf-ball sized hail but assumed those stories were exaggerations, not truth! Thanks for sharing those pics, glad you didn't have any damage! THanks for hosting us, I'm glad to be back after quite a long time away!
xo

That is crazy and scary at the same time! Mother Nature can get so wacky sometimes! Thank goodness no damage was reported!
ReplyDeleteLacy
Wow! It makes me wonder. I remember one Palm Sunday when it was a beautiful sunny day and then it turned cold and rainy suddenly, hail fell and three tornadoes went through town.
ReplyDeleteThat hail looks scary but pretty at the same time! Hope to make it here tomorrow..I actually posted last Wednesday after all this time :)
ReplyDeleteThat is something! But pretty! Why does it cause such excitement! Funny isn't it?! Just such a rare thing I guess! I love nature...so unpredictable!! Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI like how you compared the hail with coins. Nice job on the photos. So sorry to hear that bad weather came your way. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteJoyce M
WOW! It that unusual for this time of the year there, Susan? I'm glad you didn't get ant damage! ♥ Pat
ReplyDeletei'd like to experience snow but not as big as golf balls! scary!:S
ReplyDeleteWe were part of the Tornado Warnings today. The county alert system even called our house! That was a first. The winds were 90 mph. Luckily no hail and no wind damage. Debbie
ReplyDeleteLiving in So. Calif. we are deprived of weather so that is so exciting to me. Hope no damage was done.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty darn impressive. I sure hope the car wasn't damaged. The garden sure doesn't like that kind of thing. Thanks for some riveting photos.
ReplyDeleteThey're quite large.
ReplyDeleteit looks very pretty but you can keep your hailstones :)))
ReplyDeleteI'm glad no damage was done! I live in the desert in the Pacific Northwest and we don't get weather like that. I wouldn't mind experiencing it once tho. :)
ReplyDeleteKaren
Hi
ReplyDeleteThis is a very unusual year for weather. The first rain of the season yesterday and beautiful sun shine today. We have hail sometimes and it is very dangerous. Take care.
xoxo
Betty
Oh my I really do not like hail. A few years ago we had a storm come through here in July. The hail was the size of baseballs. I know that sounds crazy but I am not exaggerating! Our house was right at ground zero. We along with many in our town needed new roofs, new siding, new windows, new cars! The roof at the pharmacy down the road collapsed. It was awful!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is a LOT of hail. Hope things were not damaged!
ReplyDeleteThat is some big hail you got there! I wouldn't want to be caught outside in such a storm...
ReplyDelete-Mary
wow! awesome chunks!
ReplyDeleteseems the entire nation has has several days of total wacky weather! Here in Denver.. gusty wind!
warm hugs..
Loui♥
That hail was HUGH. the quarter really emphasises the size. Hope you didn't have any hail damage. Crazy weather!!!
ReplyDeleteAnn
It looks really cold at your place. Great pics of the snow/hail drops. I just posted for this weeks event. Haven't done much blogging lately, a little frustrated with my blogger knowledge; but may catch up soon. Mumzie
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather here too. Thanks for hosting
ReplyDeleteWow, what huge hail! I thought it was a dime laying there until I read the caption that it was a quarter--scary!
ReplyDeleteIt is cold and windy here but that hail brrr!!
ReplyDeleteYay! I made it :)
ReplyDeleteHail is one of those things that I find very interesting, but it also freaks me out a bit. Usually it means something worse is coming behind it!
ReplyDeleteWow! I have never seen hail that large.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is some hail! Great photos! Thanks for carrying this on and giving such a great opportunity to share photos.
ReplyDeleteWicked, nasty weather! Hope you had no permanent damages & no one hurt. I am not to far from DogsMom & the wind has been fierce! Sky is dark, Halloween weather, unless you don't have a power-broom to fly! thanks for the linky. I have a linky & an ongoing mystery over on my WW post. ~hugs, Faythe @GMT
ReplyDeleteOh My!! We've been praying for rain, but we don't need that!!! Thanks for sharing and hosting.
ReplyDelete~Holly
