Great images, but scary too! Thanks for hosting this lovely weekly event.

Those are pretty spectacular shots and a little unsettling at the same time, you have to wonder where they are touching down and hoping they aren't starting a fire!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are amazing shots! We just have HOT here in my hometown - no storms!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to get photos of lightening but I really have a fear of it and storms in general. I rather cower inside and remind my grown-up self to not be afraid :)
ReplyDeleteVery awesome photos. It is so hard to get great lightening pics. These are great!
ReplyDeleteSummer is thunder-boomie season! Love these captures - awesome :)
ReplyDeleteTink *~*~*
Spectacular, the sky color, the reflection on the water, and the lightning - great shots!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading like a fiend - I mix the books on my list with my fav mystery/thrillers - so I'm not always scared :-)
Wow Susan, what fantastic captures of lightening! Did you take them?
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Outdoor Wednesday.
I have not seen a storm like that in years, long before I went digital. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is a rule that prohibits advertising, but one of the links in the first 10 is to photos of an advertising blog. Some of the pix were ok, but it was a little disconcerting to be pressured to buy something. Takes the fun out of the photographic joy. (Sorry if I am just a stick in the mud!)
Perry
Amazing shots~ I prefer to admire them on the computer, rather than in person. Thanks for hosting :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. Love your shots!
ReplyDeletecool shots!

Scary images but great capture! Love the colors of the skies, very romantic!
ReplyDeleteSusan, you are a braver soul than I. When lightening strikes, I'm usually somewhere cowering! It is beautiful, but dangerous and a bit scary.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well and that you have a very Happy Fourth of July! Be safe...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Those pictures really show the power going on during a storm - we had some recently here - we do need some rain. sandie

ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteWow that storm is pretty intense. When I lived in New Jersey we used to get violent storms in the summer. Here in New England we haven't had any huge storms yet. Love watching them though. I wanted to join Outdoor Wednesday today, I found a lovely Lavender farm yesterday.
Have a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteGod is awesome! He displays His glory everywhere.
I am happy to participate in Outdoor Wednesday for the first time this week.
Fabulous shots!! I am terrified of lightning. While living in Houston, TX my house was struck by lightning while I was on the telephone. The entire house shook so violently and all of the electrical circuits were blown out. The power also ran through the television cable from my house down the street and destroyed the cable box. When the fire department came they told me that it was a miracle that I was not killed or seriously injured. The lightning just scooted over me. I now have a great respect for this force of nature.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley
xxoo
Those are absolutely outstanding lightning shots!!!
ReplyDeleteOOH! That is scary...I don't mind the storms as long as no tornado is part of it...we could use one right now.
