  2. Love your turkey pictures!! The local turkeys have been eating acorns like mad the last week or so and come through the back of our property around 4 PM each day. They are such BIG funny looking birds! Happy Outdoor Wednesday.

    These turkey photos are wonderful...and they certainly get us in the mood. My aunt had turkeys visit us during a visit...they apparently thought the hose was a snake, and they kept on one side...until a brave bird jumped it. It was hilarious! Thanks for hosting Outdoor Wednesday!

  14. Reading your post, I was shocked to hear Thanksgiving is next Thursday. Somewhere in my mind, I still had two or three weeks left til then. I am glad you said that. I needed to wake up! Turkeys look great. Perfect Thanksgiving post.

    I can't help but feel sorry a wee bit for these creatures. I am always smiling when they show the traditional turkey that was pardoned by the President. :)

    But then I dont think about cows when I eat a burger :) ... LOL just tell me to hush and enjoy your great shots and Blessings to you and yours.

  30. Love your turkey shots! My parents see a lot of them on their property in Maine. It is so funny to watch them. They also have quite a hierarchy (shall I say pecking order...)!

  32. Great photos......of those Turkeys.My husband is actually a Turkey, well I mean he is Turkish. I kid him all the time that those birds are his relatives......One time when my daughter was lil' she overheard me tell him this and she cried that she didn't want to tell her friends that those were her cousins those Turkey birds.

  44. Once we looked out and saw two white turkeys walking through our backyard. Not wild turkeys, but the farm-raised kind. Have no idea where they came from, but believe me, they didn't make it to our table! Any turkey I cook must come already plucked, thank you!

    I always love to see what you choose. I hope these weren't in YOUR backyard!

  48. Susan ~ Wonderful pictures of the turkeys. I had a wild turkey fly in front of my car not to long ago. Since they can't fly very high or very well, I had to do some "fancy" driving not to hit it! Happy Thanksgiving!
