Rain, rain, go away…..NOT! We need the rain with the hot temperatures we are having this summer! Even when the weather is not cooperating to be able to take some nice outside shots of the plants…you can grab the camera and get a few pictures of the skies!
and a little lightening (Yes, I went inside after THAT one!)
Rain clouds ahead!
can you see the rainbow?

What great pictures of thunderstorms!
ReplyDeleteWhen you see a rainbow, it makes the storm worth it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Susan! You've captured the sky so well (not always an easy thing to do.) I particularly adore the first one--- I hope you frame that one and hang it on a wall!

We sure do need the rain.. all we've been getting are the booms and noise but no water. I always love sitting on the porch when it gets like that .. but scatter when the lightning starts.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Your pictures are awesome! We just had a thunderstorm but I've never taken a picture of lightning. I've tried though. One time I got a picture of a nice rainbow.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Thanks for hosting Outdoor Wednesday! Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,

Amazing, I've never seen lightning like that and you even captured it...a little scarry for me...love rainbows (God's promises). Very neat sky shots. All I can think of when I see these thundershower shots is the song my mom used to sing, rain, rain go away come again another day and its raining its pouring the old man is snoring he bumped his head on the bed and didn't wake up til the morning....I haven't thought of these in years and they just popped into my head now, funny isn't the things you remember. Happy OW
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!!! I love stormy skies...
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))

ReplyDeleteThe pictures we get in summer are just wonderful...aren't they? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
Gorgeous photos. And that one of the lightning is beautiful but really scary!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Did you take that one? You are awesome. Ohhh... i love the rainbow. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI was leaning out the door last night at the tail end of a bad storm that took our power for hours taking a picture of the sky when a very sharp crack of lightning made me scream and run back from the door. It was amusing. Your photo and comment above made me think we may have been scared very similarly.
Big storms, great lightning.
Becky K.
I very like your 3rd photos. Great.
ReplyDeleteWonderful stormy skies! Sure wish you could send some of that rain to Southern California!

Hello Susan, Thanks for hosting this amazing weekly photo fest. Of course storms are part of God's creation and as such have their own beauty. Like you, we need the rain.
ReplyDeleteJust a heads up about one of the participants. They may not even be aware of it. Every time I try to visit Joan @ Apple Jack. I get a warning that visiting this site may damage my computer. I would certainly want to be told this if it was mine. Thanks and blessings,
Mama Bear

ReplyDeleteHi Susan, amazing photos of the weather. The lightening is quite scary, but then comes the rainbow. Very interesting photos Susan. Good job. I hope you get the rain you are needing.
ReplyDeleteHugs...Jeanne
I love stormy weather, and these pictures are spectacular... especially that lightning shot! Whoo-hoo! And of course... I love that you wrapped it all up with a rainbow. God's promise.

Hi Miss Susan it's my first time joining you for Outdoor Wednesday. I have been admiring from the sidelines for awhile now and it is much more fun to just jump on in and play.
ReplyDeleteLove your storm shots that first on is awesome.
hugs, Cherry
I love rainbows.
ReplyDeleteMy outdoor Wednesday post is about the rain also and well the animals that come out after a good rain.
Ally
You did catch the lightning I have tried but never made it, good on you, MB
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Bad electrial storms rolled thru here early evening hours last night and flash flooding. I was late joining in today, as my cable modem went out last night and did not get another picked up til midday today.
ReplyDeleteThese are magnificent photos Susan!
ReplyDeleteYou are brave...the lightening photo is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the weather pictures. I've tried capturing a lightning picture but haven't been successful. Yours is great. And, of course, the rainbow at the end is such a wonderful promise!!! Thanks for sharing. Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Susan:)
ReplyDeleteGreetings:)
I'm coming from Ceilo's blog.
Lovely photos. The rainbow is beautiful and awe inspiring.
As you rightly said we need rain to cool down temperatures. Many parts of India are facing a severe drought because rain is playing truant. We need rain for agriculture and for generating electricity and of course for little to children to play and enjoy themselves:)
Have a lovely day Susan:)
Joseph

Hello there Ms. Susan! I especially like the rainbow shot .... hope you are happy and feeling well.
