ReplyDeleteYes, gardenias grow in this climate. I have one on the north side of my house. I think I will move it to a more local place, so I can enjoy the fragrance too.

ReplyDeleteSeeing those pictures of the gardenia bushes made me think of my dear Mother. Mama only grew two kinds of flowers, a gardenia bush which she would call it a Cape Jasmine bush, and some pretty heirloom roses. Unfortunately she didn't know how to take care of either, just cut what flower she wanted and take it in the house and put it in water. Seeing the gardenia bush pictures, I could just get a whiff of it. Oh, the smell is wonderful! Doesn't everybody have smellavision?
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting glad I could join in

Gardenias have such a heavenly scent! Wonderful when there are several bushes together! Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThe gardenias in your garden are lovely. I've never tried growing them in my garden--I think our climate is probably a bit too cold for them to really thrive here, so I will enjoy yours from afar! Thank you for hosting Outdoor Wednesday--now off to enjoy some links!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely Posts!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
