    Magnolias are so lovely...genteel and Southern. We actually have magnolia tree up here in New Jersey....it seems to do well, I assume because it is right next to the house where it is a little warmer in the winter. Your pictures are beautiful.

    Beautiful, beautiful blossoms...I envy you! My husband went to school in the south, he says the smell is great but can become a little over powering....that's an experience I would like to have.

    The kind we have here, Japanese magnolias with a purplish blush outside the bloom, are not fragrant. Lucky you! My fave of the bunch is the 3rd from the bottom. Gorgeous.

    We have a large Magnolia tree in our front yard...actually they line our whole block...they are so pretty, but kind of messy...but I don't mind!

    Magnolias are such magnificent flowers! They've been blooming around here for the past several weeks. But as beautiful as the blooms are, I truly love magnolia leaves. The contrast of the shiny deep green and the rough, rich brown has always fascinated me.

    Our magnolias has already bloomed out. They get prettier every year. I love the southern Magnolias because they seem so much larger

    I think Magnolias are pretty and so useful for decorating..I like the shiny, waxy leaves and the flowers just before they open.
