The weather continues to be in the news. I don’t remember a year that the weather played so much havoc across the country. We had a line of storms roll through on Sunday with some spectacular lightning (and some much needed rain). There were trees toppled by the wind and fires caused by the lightning. A nearby apartment caught on fire…. (all the people were safe).
Sunday evening….
and Monday morning….
and they say hurricane season is around the corner… oh my! Be safe out there everyone!!

ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting!
Hugs,

I am not looking forward to hurricane season...except for some of the tropical moisture it would bring to all the parched areas...in moderation, please. There are so many fires here in FL...it's quite scary. The woods/lake behind my house is so dry. I am getting lots of signs of wildlife in populated areas, looking for water. Thankfully, we have has rain for the past 3 days...the first since the last day of March!
ReplyDeleteSo sad, to see such destruction. Richard at My Old historic House
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the fire! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteIt's good news that all the people are safe. How devastating for them.
Susan, Pictures like this always send a shiver down my spine. Our house burned down when I was in third grade...I remember it so well because it was the day of our class trip. Although no one was home and no one was hurt, it took months to rebuild our house...I can still conjure up the smell of burned everything. This was actually a very good post...reminds people to be careful.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear everyone got out safely.
ReplyDeleteThat was a taugh story about the fire. I hope nobody was hurt! I like this meme and your blog. You are on my must-do-list :)
ReplyDeleteLG Tina

ReplyDeleteThose storms were terrible the other night. I've never experienced such fierce lightening so close to my home before. The devastation to that apartment complex and another home nearby is overwhelming.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos but very saddening. We also have lots of catastrophes happening, floods, typhoons, landslides, cyclones, and burning houses like those. What is happening to our world!!!
ReplyDeleteI know several wives of fireman and Ithey face such dangers each day. We had those horrible tornadoes come through our area on April 27th ( my birthday) and it seems our weather has been especially violent this year. Thanks for honoring these heroes!

ReplyDeleteThose raging fire were so scary! Luckily the people were all alright but still damage to their properties and belongings were devastating. Brace yourself for the coming hurricanes! Take care..
ReplyDeleteyour shots are great, but it would have been better without that opportunity.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is weird in many places now. I guess we have to get used to it. :(
Too bad about the apartment loss....but golly, you're getting rainstorms. That is more than we're getting here in TX with all the drought.
