  2. Wow, that's some flood! I just recently took over management of a blog dedicated to signs, the road, pathways, etc. I think your pictures would make an excellent entry, either as a guest post or just as a participant. I hope you'll consider it - you can visit to see what it's all about here - http://thiswaythursday.blogspot.com/

I hope you guys have dried out and that the roads are passable once more!

    Tink *~*~*

PS - I see two linkies thingies - I guess I will sign them both!

  3. Hope that things dry up for you soon. We've finally been getting some fairly decent rainfall, but thank goodness not that much! There has been some minor flooding, but nothing like what ya'll have had. Hope you haven't had any damage. That last road picture is scary. Kathy

  7. Oh Susan, I hate seeing flooding pictures, being a "flood survivor" myself -- I really ache for the people in and around Atlanta in the face of the recent storms and floods.

    Stay dry!

  13. Hi Susan,
Oh, I am so sorry you are experiencing all that flooding. I must be terrible for everyone. It's so strange, we need the rain so desperately, and you in the South have way too much of it...isn't that always the way it goes?
Hope you come out of this with no problems. I will be thinking of you.
BTW when I linked up I put your URL in by mistake the first time. If you get a chance just delete the first Heart and Home link. Sorry about that. Guess those flood pictures had me rattled!
Hope you can stop by for a visit and take a look at our dry land.
    XO

  32. Susan...looks like scenes we have had here in Texas...

  33. This reminds me of flooding we've had in our area, through the years. One year in particular, November 82. That was the year Jim and I met. Our homes weren't affected, but getting to and from work, etc. was. Living near the Mississippi, we've seen this happen so much.
    Great photo story, Susan!
    Happy Outdoor Wednesday!:-)

  34. I love a picture of signs warning of flooding that are almost under water. Wow that is a lot of water.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Amazing photos! Sorry to learn about your flooding due to excessive rain. Sure wish there was a way to send some of that wet stuph to us here in Southern California where it's way too dry due to lack of rain for much too long.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hello Susan, the floods were terrible and I know it sadly affected many lives. I can't believe how bad it was. My prayers go out to those who suffered because of this flooding.

    Hugs, Jeanne

  39. Wow!! Water can sure make a terrible mess. I hope everything gets back to normal soon, whatever normal is. We have had so much rain this summer and it is still raining today.

  40. I can't even imagine! Here I sit wishing/praying for rain so we can get out of this drought and not have to "ration" our water usage so tightly, and there you are with an over abundance. Grr at Mother Nature. She needs to pass over So Cal and soon.
I hope you and yours are safe and pray for those that may have experienced damage or loss.
I've been MIA and just came back to blogging this week. You take care of yourself and be safe. That's an order! (lol!)
