Two of the nation's premier aerial demonstration teams were highlighted at the 2009 Robins Air Force Base Air Show (Warner Robins, Georgia). The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed precision aerobatics in their F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, traveling at more than 400 mph with their wingtips only inches apart. They were joined by the U.S. Army Parachute Demonstration Team, the Golden Knights, whose precision skydiving abilities are renowned worldwide. God bless our troops!

HERE ARE THIS WEEK’S PARTICIPANTS:
I remember visiting Warner Robbins one year when I was working for a software company. I was only there for one night. The drive was enjoyable (from Columbus, GA) and it was a great place!

ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI'm an Air Force Brat, I grew up going to air shows, during high school I worked at the flight line serving burgers to those seriously good-looking pilots when they flew in for practices!! Loved every minute of it!! Those Thunderbirds are really something!!
The Blue Angels are really incredible too - they fly in for demos quite often around here. I love to watch them do their stuff - they are awe inspiring!!
Great to see the still shots, thanks for sharing, what a great post! Have a nice week,

Yes, our troops are amazing in everything they do. My niece and nephew are both in the Army, he leaves for Iraq in December and she is a drill sergeant in South Carolina. I am proud of them both, as well as all of our troops.

Have a great day!
