Today I am sharing a picture that has some faint pink shades in the cheeks…. of my maternal grandfather and great-grandmother. This picture was done in 1898, shortly after my grandfather was born. It is one of my favorite family photos!

Well my friend, this photo/painting is absolutely gorgeous...what a treasure to have! When I first seen the picture, I really thought it was famous art...your Great-grandmother is really beautiful! You just never see photo/paintings like this today...what a blessing to have it!!!

Susan, that reminds me of Madonna and Child. So very lovely! My grandfather was born in 1898 also, and my grandmother in 1899. Wow-the things they experienced in their lifetime - unbelievable! Linda

THAT IS JUST AWESOME....IF I WAS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE SUCH A FAMILY HEIRLOOM I WOULD HAVE THE ORIGINAL SAVED IN FIRE PROOF...MOISTURE PROOF....ENCLOSURE AND HAVE A REPLICA HANGING...THAT IS FOR GENERATION UPON GENERATION.......OH HOW TRULY BLESSED YOU ARE.....IT MAKES ME CRY WITH JOY......BUT THEN I BUY PICTURES AT ESTATE SALES THAT NO ONE WANTS BECAUSE TO ME THEY ARE VALUABLE...MY FAMILY ON EITHER SIDE HAS NO SUCH FAMILY PHOTO.
