It’s time for Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan and her blog Between Naps on the Porch. Today we are headed to the kitchen where we find Mr Rooster perched back in the middle of the table (I think he must like it there…because he seems to find his way back there when I am not watching!)
I went with a simple place setting this week. I have been admiring these dishes at Mashalls for awhile and finally decided to pick up a few dinner and salad plates…….
The colors go perfectly with my kitchen…. I may “need” to pick up a few bowls or serving pieces to go with them. I’m not sure of the pattern. On the back is the following…..
Anybody know the name of the pattern?
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my Tablescape Thursday and don't forget to visit Susan's blog Between Naps on the Porch to see more wonderful table settings!
Very pretty, love the rooster
ReplyDeleteIdk the pattern but it's beautiful. I really like the colors.
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Marshalls too, loved them! Great way to set the table with the little fellow up there in the middle. Great job! Thanks so much for sharing... ~Katy
ReplyDeleteSusan:
ReplyDeleteThey are really beautiful. I think I may be learning to like Roosters more than I used to. Yours is really nice.
Roberta Anne
The colors do go together quite well.

ReplyDeleteOh Mr. Rooster is wonderful...if he is missing he might have flown the coop to my house. Love the dishes they remind me of a bit Tuscany.

Susan,
ReplyDeleteFrom one Rooster lover to the other,;) great new dishes, your table looks so inviting. I'm having such a hard time stopping myself from buying more.

Lovely dishes, and yes, very Tuscany. Also love the rooster and he so matches the dishes!
ReplyDeleteNice dishes!
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern on your new dishes, Susan. Sorry, have no idea on the pattern name.
ReplyDeleteMarshall's is like a gold mine isn't it? I wish I lived closer. Your dishes are just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteJudyBug
Susan,
ReplyDeleteI have seen that pattern at TJ Maxx! I have been tempted to buy it myself, but I'm trying to be good. I particularly like some of the serving pieces. So pretty!
Beautiful dishes, Susan. Love the rooster! Perfect with your dishes.

Hi Susan
ReplyDeleteWhat a great excuse to pick up some pretty plates. I think you should pick up some bowls while they still have them. They go perfectly with that handsome Mr. Rooster too.
Lovely table.
thank you for sharing
Judi
Beautiful. Love your table and I also love Mr. Rooster!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
Very nice tablescape..reminds me of a tuscany scene in an Italian patio. Oh..an I'm loving Mr. Rooster...he knows where he belongs!!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I saw the same pattern at my Marshall's here, but only a few pieces... Sorry for the late visit, we had no internet since 12:30 this morning. Beautiful choice for today. I love your dishes!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thursday!
LOVELY pattern!
ReplyDeleteDarling set, no I don't know the name of them, wasn't it on the box? That Mr. Rooster is a handsome fellor. I bet he don't eat much. Hope to see you tomorrow for Project Friday. Hugs, Rosemarie
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, it's always so nice to see Mr. Rooster. Love your new dishes, the colors are yummy. Thanks for the peek, Maryrose
ReplyDeleteLovely setting. The rooster really goes nicely too with the color scheme. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes the pregnant lady was very very careful on that trail which is why we didn't go too far. ;) However we're an adventurous lot over here in the southwest and I'm not quite the size of a house just yet. LOL
Susan, I love that china too. My favorite color combination. The rooster looks great with the china. laurie
ReplyDeleteOh I've admired those dishes too! I really like the colors and your rooster is a fun centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteMr. Rooster sure knows a good thing when he sees it ... looks quite at home among the pretty china.
ReplyDeleteClearly, that rooster likes to hobnob with pretty plates. I love those dishes -- so Italian looking. They are familiar, but I am not sure I've seen their exact matches, but certainly similar.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Your rooster is quite the handsome devil, too. My mom loved roosters and I am lucky enough to have some of her favorites. One keeps insisting on roosting on our old oak table, won't behave and stay on the windowsill!
Cass
I love those Italian plates that you used in your tablescape. Seems like I saw some at our Marshall's recently. I have 2 place setting from a fancy Italian shop here in Michigan but have not been able to bring myself to pay the hefty price to add more to our collection. After seeing the ones that you used here I may have to skip over to Marshall's and see what they have left.Gorgeous post. Thanks for vising my first Tablescape Thursday. It is nice to meet you.Sue
ReplyDeleteLove it, Susan! I love the pattern on those dishes, and of course, your rooster! Great tablescape!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
So beautiful and I love your blog header!!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, Beautiful tablescape, I must be the only person who does not collect roosters but I love, love your Italian dishes, hope you find the extra pieces, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteSUSAN,
ReplyDeleteWHAT A BEAUTIFUL TABLE SETTING. I'M INVITING MYSELF FOR THE MEAL SERVED AT THIS TABLE.
I LOVE THE ROOSTER AND THE PLATES AND THE COLORS YOU CHOSE....VERY NICE.
NOW...WHERE'S THE FRIED CHICKEN.......
I TRIED TO POST ON YOUR PEACH COBBLER POST BUT THE COMMENT SECTION DID NOT WORK FOR ME....I'LL TRY AGAIN...IF NOT I WILL BE TRYING THAT RECIPE....YUMMY...YUM
BLESSINGS
debbie
I can see why you have been admiring these dishes, they are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Nicole.
Does your lovely roaster have a special name. I would love to have one but couldn't think what to put in a search engine other than china roaster? thank you, Margaret
ReplyDeleteHi, Susan. I just happened upon your blog and found this post. First - I love all your dishes and table settings. Absolutely gorgeous! The pattern you bought at TJ Maxx is similar to something I just order from www.pierredeux.com. It's a charger called Rouen Faience. They look very similar altho not an exact match. I would guess your dishes are of a similar Provencal design. I need to get to TJ Maxx pronto!
